Work breakdown

Contractor work packages

  • Each card: key figures, scope, deliverables and position in the program.
  • Open “Key risk mitigated” to switch the card to the risk and the site control that closed it.
  • “Show in Gantt” highlights the package lane in the master schedule.
Commercial control

Bid levelling, benchmarking and change control

  • Currency: UZS and USD as contracted, incl. 12% VAT; USD at the CBU rate of 12,024 UZS.
  • Rule: every offer levelled against the specification, every variation approved before commitment.
Program

Integrated master schedule: logic network and critical path

  • Time scale: Day 1 = 1 Jun 2026 (works start). Pre-construction and close-out compressed either side.
  • Logic: MS Project notation, task, link type, lag in days (e.g. 4.2 = 4.1SS+13d).
  • Critical path: hover any red activity for the site control that protected the baseline.

Compliance

Standards and codes applied

  • Three layers: PMI method, client standards, Uzbekistan building codes, with international SCS standards for cabling.
Lessons learned

What I carry to the next site

  • Test power with every workstation running before acceptance, not after the snag list.
  • Check HVAC against contact-centre density at design stage; office systems are sized for fewer people.
  • Put ISP whitelisting and customs paperwork on the critical path. Neither is construction, either can stop a go-live.
  • Split the server for a parallel run, so every cutover keeps a live fallback.
  • Read a vendor's revision line by line against the specification. It separates real gaps from padding.
  • Treat the headcount brief as a forecast. Build seat and port headroom into the design.
